This one-of-a-kind porcelain bowl has the presence of a small sculptural bloom. Its softly ruffled rim opens around a luminous green crystalline center, while smaller crystal formations spread across the warm blush-and-ivory glaze. The glossy surface catches the light and reveals new details as you turn it.
Display it on a bedside table for rings and keepsakes, on a vanity for favorite small treasures, or on a shelf as a piece of ceramic art. At 8 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall, its unusual shape makes a lovely focal point without taking over the space. You will receive the exact bowl shown in the photographs.
The foot is unglazed and signed by me.

WHAT MAKES CRYSTALLINE GLAZE POTTERY SO SPECIAL?
Crystalline glazing brings art and science together. Unlike ordinary pottery glazes, crystalline glazes are specially formulated and fired using a carefully controlled kiln schedule that encourages crystals to grow within the molten glaze.
At temperatures around 2,000°F, the crystals begin forming in unpredictable patterns. Their size, placement and shape can never be completely controlled, so no two crystalline-glazed pieces will ever be exactly alike.
These glazes also become extremely fluid during firing. An individually fitted firing ring and catcher tray must be made for every piece to collect the glaze runoff and protect the kiln. The process requires extra preparation, precise firing and considerable finishing work. Its failure rate can be high—but when the firing succeeds, the results make the entire labor-intensive process worthwhile.

Care instructions
All our glazes are food safe, lead and cadmium free.
Dishwasher and microwave safe, unless they get a fracture crack, like all pottery this can expand with moisture and heat.
Crystalline Glazes are durable and the crystals will not fade over time.
We do not recommend storing acidic foods in crystalline glaze pieces.
However, like coffee stains, they can be bleached out.
Packing and Shipping
Please make sure that we are shipping your order to a secure location. We cannot take responsibility for stolen packages.
I pack my pieces in layers of bubble wrap inside a strong box. I take great care to ensure items arrive safely. If it arrives damaged, please contact me right away. I will need photos to submit for insurance.
All orders are shipped via USPS within 1-3 business days of purchase unless otherwise noted.
You will be notified upon purchase of the exact shipping date and will be notified again when the item ships.
If a package fails to reach you in a timely manner, please refer to the shipping notification I sent upon shipment.
Returns and Refunds
I do my best to accurately depict and describe the items in my shop and I ask that you keep in mind that all items are one of a kind, made by hand and by nature have imperfections and variations.
If you are unhappy with the items that you receive, please contact me within 14 business days to arrange for a refund or exchange.
All items must be returned in good condition in original packaging in order to qualify for a refund or exchange. You will be provided with packaging instructions.
Credit will be refunded upon safe receipt of returned items.
Buyer is responsible for damage in transit.
After 14 day grace period, all sales are final.
In the event of a stolen package, refunds will not be provided.
